+ What types of consignments are accepted?

As Canada's largest Firearms auction, we are fully licenced and can accept all types of firearms and firearm parts. We also accept militaria items, accessories such as scopes, archery, targets, edged weapons, toy soldiers, as well as ammunition and reloading, among other things. Please contact us about any items you may have to consign!

+ What types of consignments are not accepted?

There are specific types of consignments we cannot or will not sell. There may be restrictions on the sale of these items, they may not be suitable for sale or they are prohibited from being shipped. Please read this list carefully:

  • Green corroded ammunition
  • Moldy, dirty clothing or uniforms
  • Gun powder, smokeless powder, black powder
  • Incendiary ammunition
  • Under 106mm pistol barrels not installed on a firearm
  • Liquids, gun oils, cleaning products or scent removers
  • Tasers
  • Human silhouette targets
  • Gun catalogs, blue books, gun digest or paper magazines (Pre-1960 firearm catalogs are OK)
  • Broken or damaged gun stocks (not repairable)
  • MT modern paper ammo boxes (pre-1960 vintage OK)
  • Empty 12ga hulls (new, 20ga, 28ga, 410ga OK)
  • Aluminum or steel fired casings
  • Modern replica firearms (Antique replicas OK)
  • Expired CSA approved safety equipment (helmets, life jackets, etc.)
  • Body armour

+ Consignment Fees

We take items for auction on consignment and charge a commission based on the selling price, this rate can vary depending on the volumn and value of your consignments. Give us a call to discuss our program.

 

CONSIGNMENT DROP OFF OR PICK UP

Consignments can be dropped off at the auction hall in Bancroft, shipped to us or picked up at your location. We ask that you prepare a detailed list of your consignment items in advance and complete our consignor agreement. You can download a template here , or, create your own. Appointments are required for drop-off. Please click here to make an appointment.

ATT's are now required to bring your Restricted and Prohibited firearms to us. Please call 1-800-731-4000 ext 7503 to request.

+ PICK UP AT YOUR LOCATION

Arrangements can be made for packaging and pick up at your location. Fees apply for this service and will be determined once location, value and volume are known.

*Please note you can not send ammunition by Canada Post or Canpar. Firearms can only be mailed if you have a Canada Post “Solutions for Small Business” account. This account is easy to create online here. This also gives you a discounted shipping rate.

Please note that CANPAR is no longer accepting ammunition shipments.

+ Shipping Tips:

  • All consignments of firearms need to be trigger locked or cable tied.
  • Pack all items well. Use paper, Styrofoam or bubble wrap.
  • Do not put too many firearms in the same box.
  • Secure box with tape to prevent accidental opening
  • Do not mark contents on exterior of box.
  • Include a list of contents with your mailing and firearms license information inside the box.
  • If sending Restricted or Prohibited items send us a list of the registration certificates by email.
  • Send using a service requiring us to sign upon receipt.
  • Email us the tracking # so we can anticipate your parcels arrival.
  • By law you can not send ammunition with Canada Post or Canpar. If sending ammunition by another courier, it can not be in the same box as a firearm.
  • Under no circumstances send gun powder or black powder to us by any method.
